Living Water 

Living Water is a mural that not only embraces the holistic healing power of water but also serves as a reminder of our individual impact on those around us. We have the capacity to be like water; peaceful and flexible yet powerful and steadfast. Not only for ourselves, but more importantly for others. Many times we find ourselves feeling like “just a drop in the bucket,” forgetting the positive influence we are capable of choosing to have on one other. Like the ripples that travel in water after a splash, we become contagious when we “drop in” with love, kindness, joy, patience and enthusiasm. The spirit of these characteristics is like water;  essential for survival and a little goes a long way, especially during drought or storm.

The process for creating the mural further emphasizes the message. Using a blend of only three colors in order to focus mostly on depth and value, exaggerating the simple but impactful message. The size of the piece also causes the viewer to take a step back in order to see the bigger picture, reflecting a subtle call to action.
